SCIENCE MONTH CELEBRATION
Theme: Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements
To provide you first
an informative background, "Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials,
Activating Technological Advancements" is the theme of the
National Science Club Month this 2018. According to the “National Science Club
Month” group, the National Science Club Month is being celebrated every September,
as mandated by the Presidential Proclamation No. 264. The Philippine Society of
Youth Science Clubs (PYSC), which is the only national federation of youth
science clubs in the Philippines, spearheads the conduct of activities that aim
to promote Public Understanding of Science, Technology and Environment (PUSTE),
boost scientific consciousness among the youth, and encourage the youth to
participate actively in the Science Clubbing Movement.
Meanwhile, here is the meaning of the theme “Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technology Advancements”. The National Science Club aims to focus on giving importance to Michael Faraday's discovery of electromagnetism as part of the same phenomenon (electromagnetism) is now the cornerstone of human technological advancements that brought significant changes in the world until today, and even upcoming changes in the future. The theme also assigns to the youth and Science clubbers the responsibility or role of accentuating potentials and activating technological advancements.
